Perfect for my husband’s Jeep Wrangler. Lots of nice features.

I ordered the Kenwood KDC-X599 Single DIN Stero for my husband’s birthday. He hated the Sony stereo that was in his Jeep Wrangler. Once he received it he took it down to the local install shop and they had it installed in less than an hour. He likes all the features this radio offers and the look of it is very nice. The buttons are a little small but it is a compact stereo so this is to be expected. It comes with a small remote and he really likes that. It is easy to use and he put a small piece of Velcro on the back and attached it to his dash for easy finding. It has a source button, that lets you choose radio, Pandora, AUX, iHeartradio, CD, SiriusXM, Bluetooth, etc. Although I like the Bluetooth the best because I can pair it to my phone, he likes that he was able to download 3000 songs to a USB stick and play all his favorite music. The FM radio has great reception. He also likes the dsip-scrl button which lets him choose to display song title, artist, album, radio station, etc. At night, the display it looks and great and you can change out the colors on it. But during the day it is a little hard to see if it is bright out. The installer placed the microphone right in the middle if the steering wheel base which was great because it keeps your head forward at all times and you aren’t turning your head towards the microphone. As I said I love this feature. It works really well as the mic picks up sound well and callers always say my voice is clear. When a call comes in, the radio stops then restarts automatically when you hang up. Overall we are very pleased with this stereo and would definitely recommend it. I am thinking seriously about purchasing another Kenwood just like this one for my own truck

Great features, perfect radio for my car
By Christina Majaski
I have a Hyundai Tiburon and the factory Kenwood died suddenly for no reason. My brother in law installed this one and said it was pretty simple although I don’t know if that’s because he’s done it before or if it would be simple for anyone. I really like this a lot though. The old radio didn’t have any of the features this one has. If I had known I could just get one that I can connect my iphone to, I would have had it changed out a long time ago. You can play your songs from your phone, Pandora, and Spotify (and many others). It has a microphone for using bluetooth and a little remote control as well. I also think it sounds way better than the old one. I have attached a short video to give you an idea of what it looks like. I currently have it set to continuously change colors but you can set it to whatever you like. I also thought it was particularly easy for someone like myself who is usually kind of lost, to set up everything.
